
Busy in the urchin-factory...

After they are pinned and glued I put them on this piece of wood so that they can dry in a good way.
This piece of wood suffers a great deal in my hands. I not only use it for pieces to dry but also to hammer and drill. It is a piece of wood that we removed from our fireplace. I can't say that we upcycled it, more kind of a down cycle as it was a decorative piece. Do you have any nifty 'tools' that no one else, except you, sees value in?

what a lovely little urchins factory =) And that piece of wood =D made me laough so hard I do it with all kinds of things around the house, My husband always laugh about it - I have a used box of ice-creams cones that I am using for 2 yrs now =D because I am too lazy to get my ruller out =D

i use the lids of takeaway food containers {and dips etc} to mix paints. the clear ones are especially good for colour work :)

you could make something like the urchins on wood as a decorative item ... i like the repeating look to it and houw natural it looks.

I have a few handmade tools that I use very often - made of tiny branches - they make the best tools.
